The doula course is offered online as an at a distance course.
You will log into an online account once you have paid for your course.
The doula student will communicate with the online instructor regarding materials issued for studying.
A list of books and resources will be issued to the student
The doula student must attend a childbirth education class
Write your own postpartum education and breast feeding handout as well as develop a brochure and marketing plan. Thereby identifying your client base.
The doula student must attend at least three births, signed off by both patient and attending physician, midwife, or charge nurse.
The doula will complete the training in six weeks or less depending on the available amount of time studying. Some students complete it in two weekends.
The exit exam must be passed with a 70% or better score
Documentation must be received prior to the issuance of certificate of completion.
